Here you are able to see a short description of our organisation, especially on our South American Plant line known as Patagonia Plants.

The name Patagonia Plants refers to the gorgeous landscape of the most southern parts of Chile and Argentina, called Patagonia. This impressive territory contains one of the most beautiful flora of South America. It was not by chance that, Charles Darwin spent many month exploring these forests, marvelling at what he found. A good amount of our Patagonia Plants range was classified by the naturalist himself!

One of our most famous products is the widely known Araucana araucana, this rare and unique conifer has been listed in CITES appendix I. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES) is an international agreement between Governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten their survival. Nowadays, the only possibility to obtain Araucaria is through importing young plant material from Chile. Jardín Pehuén is the sole CITES approved production company of Araucaria araucana seedlings in the world. To complete a waterproof and legal cooperation, Boevé B.V. has vested exclusive rights to import Araucaria from Chile and sell them on the European market. Each lot of Araucaria's will be accompanied with official CITES documents. These documents will prove that cultivation and trade has been carried out in a legal way.

Do not hesitate to contact us for further questions you may have regarding trade in Araucaria araucana, or concerning certain Patagonian plant species, cultivation advisement, or aclimatization treatment after importation. We are more than willing to give you our advice!
